On July 1, 2021, the Brantford Regional Indigenous Support Centre (BRISC) held a Unity Walk to the Mohawk Institute to honour the lives of our Indigenous children lost to the abuses of the Canadian residential school system.

Organizers of the event anticipated approximately 60 people to gather and were overwhelmed with emotion to have over five thousand people attend and support our Onkwehón:we.
