Our hearts are heavy tonight in the Grand River Territory of the Six Nations. We have lost one of our strongest standing trees with the passing of Pete Skye. Our Confederacy was made rich by the wealth of culture, language and knowledge this condoled Onondaga Chief carried and he is greatly missed. Please keep the Longhouse of One Family in your thoughts as our minds are very close to the ground right now.
The family has released details of services for Onondaga Deer Clan Chief Peter Sky who passed away Wednesday November 5, 2014 at his home surrounded by family . He is resting at his home at 1890 4th Line Ohsweken, after 7 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Service and Burial will be held at Onondaga Longhouse Six Nations on Saturday November 8, 2014 at 11 a.m.
